Tread on the Trail

About this artwork

This piece shows a small sample of a 13-year collection of mine. I am an avid AZ hiker and I pick up pieces of shoe tread that I find on the trail while hiking. I started collecting tread from trails in 2010 while working on a year-long project where I collected an object every day of the year. I love the textures and colors I find and have arranged them in a somewhat organized pattern.
