Great Grandma’s Crazy Quilt Transformed

This piece is a paper quilt I made from lists and notes that I have collected for 23 years. I used the lists and notes as the “material” for the quilt. In the tradition of crazy quilts that are made from scraps of leftover fabric, my paper quilt is made from the scraps and memories leftover from my life. The pattern is based on my Great Grandma’s crazy quilt made around 1900 and about 120 years old. Some of the lists include my daughter’s handwriting as well as my Mom’s and my Grandma’s. Five generations of moms and daughters are represented in this quilt.
