Solterra Suns

About this artwork

Solterra Suns was a percent for art in private development project for the City of Avondale. It was commissioned for Bridgewater Assisted Living. The developers sought me out to make an artwork for their property that would greet their residents and also fulfill their percent for art requirement. The design is based on a quilt pattern called “Mariner’s Compass”. The two large panels are hung on the entrance trellis for staff and residents to pass by each time they enter the facility and also close enough to the street for all those that walk or drive by to see.
