Watts Art 2015

Tina Watts is an artist and art educator based in Phoenix, Arizona. She holds a master's degree in Art Education and spent 10 years teaching art before becoming a kindergarten teacher. Her work spans acrylic painting, watercolor, mixed media, and assemblage, often incorporating found objects and materials with personal histories. Inspired by memory, beauty, loss, and the stories held within ordinary objects, Tina's work is an exploration of preserving moments and giving new life to what might otherwise be forgotten. She plans to devote more time to her art as she approaches retirement from teaching in a few years.

When she's not creating, Tina enjoys spending time with her family and her menagerie of pets—including a dog and several chickens.
