About this artwork

Back When Ocean City, Maryland was a special place my dad and I shared. After he passed away, I created this piece as a reflection on our memories together—and on the time that had passed between us. My dad often expressed regret that he hadn't spent more time with me when I was young, feeling that he had missed out on my childhood. In this painting, the reflection in the water represents our younger selves, bringing us back to a time that can never truly be revisited, but can always be remembered. Back when.
