About this artwork

A pitiful and wet black cat stands on the damp sidewalk, looking up at the viewer. Made for Nevada Fine Arts' "4x4" exhibit and inspired by a photo of a wet cat in a bathtub. The idea was that this poor thing came up to the viewer after a rain storm and the viewer had no choice but to adopt it. Painted in 2026 with acrylic paint markers on a 4x4" magnetic canvas.
