Too Hot To Trot

A blue beagle wearing bright orange dog booties is taking a walk with her owner in a phoenix park, with the oppressive sun beating down on them. Inspired by the idea of "surviving summer". My very first thought was a dog wearing those shoes you put on them to save their toesies from the burning pavement. It spiraled from there. I wanted there to be fun, bright colors, as I wasn't going to add rainbows or stars to this piece. Painted in 2026 with acrylic paint markers on an 11x14" stretched canvas.
