About this artwork

In the watercolor, "the scars we cannot hide", I address my second type of skin cancer diagnosis and the inability to conceal it. I have cropped in on my face to further emphasize my bruised eyes and the exposed stitched wound. My eyes are confrontational. There is no way to hide the story, it is there to be seen.
