About this artwork

In this painting I wanted to communicate that choices we make about our exposure to the sun can have lasting consequences. At the lower third of the painting I depict the artifacts of sun exposure floating in the ocean and left along the banks of the sand. The sand and the hospital floor merge as the scene switches to the procedure room littered with bloody rags and medical supplies.
