Sabo Tabby

About this artwork

On a red background, a black cat with glowing yellow eyes puffs up, tail straight, screaming at the viewer. It stands on a black circle bordering many inspiring words. Three white stars stand above the cat and a broken chain lies at its feet. Inspired by the Sabo Tabby of the Industrial Workers of the World union, as well as my mentor saying I should make some activist art. This is an edited scan of the painting, as the original canvas got a bit smeared when I varnished it. It is the last canvas I ever varnished. Now I only spray with sealer so that doesn't happen again. Painted in 2026 with acrylic paint markers on an 11x14" stretched canvas.
