Walk In The Woods

About this artwork

Oil on canvas. The size and durability of the California Redwoods provide a new perspective and an impressive contrast to those who walk among them. This piece required a challenging mathematical exercise to convey the depth and volume of the trees compared to the forest floor. Layers of transparent colors bring life to each of the planes and provide a rich color palette to explore.
