“Maji” — meaning water in Swahili — is a tribute to the depth, power, and healing force of the ocean and the people who live in harmony with it. Crafted on a secondhand mirror using acrylic, oil, marker, newspaper, and plaster, this 17”x17” mixed media work is as layered as the sea itself.
