About this artwork

This painting was inspired by Bloomington Lakes in Idaho, near Bear Lake. Bloomington Lake is a high elevation alpine lake located in the Bear River Range of southeastern Idaho near the Utah border.  The lake is surrounded by wildflowers and towering cliffs, and it's a popular destination for day hiking, trout fishing, and camping.  It is similar to many lakes found in the high country of the Rocky Mountains.
