Desert Verbena

This is a scene on the border of Palm Desert and Rancho Mirage in the Coachella Valley.  When there is sufficient moisture, usually in the Spring, beautiful flowers break out in the sand dunes and among the creosote bushes and tumble weeds.  One of the most prominent of the flowers is Verbena, which can usually be found in a pink-lavender hue.
