I took my first adult painting class at age six in the 60’s, earned a BA in Art at UNLV in the 70’s. and ran my studio & gallery in downtown Benicia CA for 30 years, specializing in narrative art and portraits. As a 6-year rep for Grumbacher, I taught adult painting classes in Pleasant Hill CA, advanced workshops at Arts Benicia and to hundreds of emerging artists in Woodstock NY. The Faux Louvre was a series of 300 masterpiece studies based on sketches done in museums in Paris & across the US—interpreted as watercolors in upcycled, ornate painted frames and exhibited at 150 juried fine art festivals & galleries. My work lives on walls from Osaka to Oxford and 49 states (not North Dakota). As a 6-year rep for Grumbacher I taught adult painting classes in Pleasant Hill CA, advanced workshops at Arts Benicia, to hundreds of emerging artists in Woodstock NY and Confident Acrylics at an annual week-long art retreat in the Northern Sierras. I currently teach Tucson classes at SAAG and WomanKraft. I’m also an accomplished speaker, winning several International & Humorous competitions in Toastmasters.
