Robin Berning

Robin Berning is a Scottsdale, Arizona–based multidisciplinary fiber and installation artist whose work explores connection, resilience, identity, and the emotional landscapes that bind us together. Drawing from backgrounds in interior design, architectural drafting, and construction, Berning creates sculptural fiber works that merge softness with structure, transforming traditional textile processes into contemporary visual experiences. Inspired by the shifting colors, textures, and expansive horizons of the American Southwest, her work often incorporates dimensional weaving, tufting, knotting, and mixed-media techniques to evoke movement, emotion, and human connection. Through scale, repetition, and tactile form, Berning examines themes of belonging, transformation, love, and freedom. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and public art exhibitions throughout Arizona and beyond. Berning continues expanding her practice into large-scale architectural fiber installations and immersive public art experiences that invite viewers to reflect, connect, and engage emotionally within the spaces they inhabit.
