Trust your instincts- they are never wrong. Bold markings in a minimal palette were used in an unconventional manner to correct ‘imperfections’ that may be perceived by those unwilling to think outside the box. Reinvention and transformation expressed on the canvas translate to real life as our eyes are opened to the possibilities that are available to us always. Acrylic on Canvas Framed 20" x 24" Pairs well with Outside the Lines II

Her work explores materiality and texture, elevating how her collectors experience home and encouraging an 'uplifted state of being.' Based in Phoenix, Arizona, and born in Boston, Massachusetts, Madden displayed a passion for art at an early age, and has made Art for herself for much of her adult life, yet she went on to study Kinesiology and Physiology at the University of New Hampshire and worked in fitness for 15 years before moving into fashion, ultimately Art. In late 2019, she made the decision to pursue her Art professionally after realizing that all she really wanted to do was create Art. On a personal level, Madden’s work draws influence from her love of fashion, design & luxury, and her background in sustainable fashion. Her affinity for originality, texture, depth and exploring materiality through discarded textiles is reflected in her work, with an intention to draw a connection between repurposed items and modern Art. Each original Artwork starts with asking the question 'what else can this be?' This internal narrative acts as the catalyst to her process of exploration and experimentation. Laura Madden Studio has been featured in publications Luxe Interiors + Design, Modern Luxury Scottsdale, Iconic Life, So Scottsdale, Phoenix Home & Garden, among others, and TV networks Fox 10 Phoenix, CW7, Arizona Midday 12, Arizona's Family 3 & ABC 15.
