The Wounds He Chose

About this artwork

The wounds He chose were not marks of defeat, but the cost of a love unwilling to remain distant. Beneath the lash, Christ carried every hidden grief, every shame, and every fracture we could not heal ourselves. He did not endure because suffering had power over Him, but because mercy had already decided we were worth reaching.
