My artwork captures the magic of connections between nature and people through colorful, narrative images.I draw on…The natural desert of Tucson was my backyard growing up in Tucson, Arizona. That upbringing has influenced my art style and drives my interest in creating public art in Arizona. My artwork captures the magic of connections between nature and people through colorful, narrative images.I draw on inspiration from my life in the desert, my Mexican-American and Swedish cultural roots, vintage botanicals, folk art, and ambiguous symbols such as petroglyphs from nearby mountains. My focus is the natural world with a bit of surrealism, where time and space are fluid. It is my way of sending love, gratitude and hope into both the future and the past, telling a cohesive story through original artwork.
