About this artwork

This portfolio showcases a selection of mixed-media illustrations that explore visual storytelling through curiosity, play, and imagination. Inspired by art history, folklore, food, and everyday moments, each piece invites viewers to rediscover the familiar through a whimsical perspective. Each illustration begins as a physical, mixed-media artwork created with gouache, watercolor pencils, and colored pencils. I then use digital tools as an extension of my process, carefully refining each piece to preserve the richness, color, and texture. Sustainability is an important part of my practice. I create artwork in sketchbooks to minimize material waste, partner with a local fine art printer for archival reproductions, and present my work in simple FSC-certified wood frames whenever possible. Through both my studio practice and community engagement, I hope my work sparks curiosity, encourages connection, and reminds viewers that art can be both playful and meaningful.
