My creative journey began attending Saturday art classes at our community center through Junior High School. In High School our art classes and the Art Club furthered my creative drive, which continued in college and ultimately weaving itself in and out of my personal and professional life into my…My creative journey began attending Saturday art classes at our community center through Junior High School. In High School our art classes and the Art Club furthered my creative drive, which continued in college and ultimately weaving itself in and out of my personal and professional life into my adulthood. My fiber art journey began upon retirement in 2019 after 12 years and hundreds of quilts. I found myself craving more artistic freedom. I started experimenting with fabric applique art then painting fabric. I found what I was missing in combining painting with my love of fabric and thread. My inspiration comes from the beauty of the earth. I am especially drawn to water which is essential to life. My early adult years of mountain living and summers in Michigan on the lakes and beaches influences my work significantly.
