Celestial Juggler

About this artwork

This sculpture was previously on display at Elizabeth “Liz” Archuleta Park in Flagstaff during the 2025/26 exhibition. This figure is a Tlamatini, an ancient astronomer-priest, drawn specifically to Flagstaff for its renowned dark skies and deep connection to astronomy. As a city committed to preserving its view of the cosmos, Flagstaff becomes the perfect setting for this celestial traveler. Materials: Laser cut, powder coated aluminum, steel planets and lunar phases, concrete base anchored with 3/8” Titen HD anchors. I worked with a structural engineer and fabricator to ensure the freeze-thaw considerations were addressed.
