Tina Marie Ferguson

Tina was awarded the 2019 Phoenix Mayor’s Art Award for her innovative and high quality art programs with special populations. She also won the 2018 Mesa Maker’s Fest “Social Impact Award” Tina is the only Arizona visual artist who has been trained at the NYC National Center for Creative Ageing Center, the AZ Create Change AZ Conference, and has two certified dementia practitioners certificates. She spoke at the 2018 NYC National Conference and was on a panel educating others on best practices in the Arts & Ageing industry. Tina regularly speaks on the benefits of arts and ageing. She spoke at the 20th annual Arizona’s Assisted Living Federation of America(ALFA) conference, the Arizona Senior Center Association Conference in Prescott, West Vally Coalition on Ageing(WVCOA), North Valley Coalition on Ageing (NVCOA) and the Annual Minnesota Struthers’s Park Nicolette Parkinsons Center conference and, before COVID, was scheduled to speak at the Minnesota Activity directors conference for a second time. She just finished the recording of her part of the Strother’s Park Nicolette Parkinson’s Foundation National Video on the health benefits of art on the ageing brain.
