Shane Olafson

Shane Olafson (b. 1970) is a contemporary painter whose work explores the tension between systematic order and raw abstraction. Utilizing a diverse material palette of oil, acrylic, ink, and mixed media, Olafson builds his surfaces through an iterative process of layering, obscuring, and excavating.
