Robert Panzer

My name is Robert Panzer, and I am a regional artist in Arizona. My creative practice includes selecting visual elements and techniques that portray an image or story through media that includes photography, painting (acrylic, oil, mixed media) and digital design. I have over 30 years of experience as an artist, and I hold a Fine Arts in Painting degree from ASU and a Masters Degree in Education. I have also worked as an arts educator and district-level Director supporting arts programming in public schools. Over the years, I have built a career that has bridged fine art and public art while also supporting visual and performing arts students in the West Valley. In 2025, I retired from public education and transitioned to working exclusively as a visual artist. Over the years, my artwork has been recognized through numerous awards, private commissions, and a corporate installation in California. I have completed municipal Traffic Cabinet Wrap projects in seven cities across Arizona and Colorado. My artwork has also been featured in various art shows and museum venues throughout Arizona. My artistic values aim to create an interactive experience, inviting viewers to engage and complete the narrative, while adding depth and dimension through the use of bold colors and engaging design. My artwork is characterized by vibrant color palettes, painterly techniques, and layered compositions that evoke both emotion and narrative. I have a passion for enhancing the environment through the arts, and I understand the profound impact that art can have on a community. My approach includes community engagement and research to inspire a design that celebrates a particular landscape or that tells the story of a city or community experiencing change. I often incorporate natural and historical elements into my designs, creating visual stories that connect viewers to place and memory. Whether working on canvas or large-scale installations, I strive to create work that is both visually striking and deeply rooted in its surroundings.
