Ozlem Yeni

I am an interdisciplinary artist (PhD) exploring the bonds between people and places. My journey—from Türkiye to Australia, and now to Arizona—has shaped the core of my practice around migration, memory, and belonging. I work across drawing, painting, mixed media, and installation. Through these mediums, I try to create spaces that hold emotion and invite connection—places where viewers can pause, reflect, and recognize something of themselves. My exhibitions have taken place in Turkey, Japan, Australia, Albania, and the United States, and my works are held in collections across different countries. Each context has expanded the way I think about place and identity. Alongside my studio practice, my academic background and experience founding a gallery have deepened my commitment to community and dialogue. Now based in Arizona, I draw inspiration from the desert’s openness and from the quiet stories embedded in everyday environments.
