Lisette Chavez

Lisette Chavez is a multi-disciplinary artist who creates drawings, lithography, and installation-based work. She was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, in Texas’ boot heel, near the border with Mexico. Mirroring life, her work explores the contradictions and confluences at the frontier between beauty and suffering. Informed by family history and trauma, she hopes to foster greater discourse and a deeper understanding of the human condition.
