Liliana Gomez
Liliana Gomez is a dynamic choreographer renowned for her transformative dance experiences in public spaces and prestigious venues across Arizona. She has crafted compelling performances at iconic locations like the Phoenix Art Museum, Mesa Arts Center, and others. Liliana’s innovative approach extends to concert dance, where she has created original works for renowned institutions and theater productions, collaborating with esteemed organizations like ASU Dance Department, Rising Youth Theater, and the Latina Dance Project. As the Managing Director of the BlakTinx Dance Festival, Liliana has elevated the voices of Black and Latinx choreographers, fostering cross-cultural dialogue and community engagement. Beyond her artistic endeavors, Liliana is a passionate advocate for the arts. She served on the boards of Roosevelt Row CDC and Artlink Phx, nurturing emerging talent and arts programming. Additionally, Liliana mentors aspiring dancers through various initiatives and mentorship programs. With her upcoming work, “Quinceañera: A Waltz of Memories,” Liliana continues to push artistic boundaries, exploring themes of love, family, and tradition. As she delves into this new project, Liliana remains deeply connected to her community, using her platform to champion inclusivity and equity in the arts. This work is partially funded by the City of Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture, for the Artists to Work grant.
