Hey there, I’m Jon Salmon, an artist based in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. I mostly work with oil paintings and have a self-taught approach to my craft. My art is rooted in expressionism, capturing the emotions and inner world of my subjects. I specialize in figurative works, particularly portraits and nudes, exploring the raw and authentic human form. Through my art, I aim to depict the complexities of the human experience, including themes of isolation and introspection. My work is heavily influenced by the concept of “Szcitsofrania” – a fusion of the words schizophrenia and utopia, representing the duality of the mind and the search for inner balance.
