Jackie Dishner

A former journalist/author who started teaching herself art in 2019, as a second act. She now uses her creativity and curiosity as a conduit for connection, teaching others how to doodle for stress relief, bring beginners into the tactile world of block print-making, and exploring primal connections missing from her childhood. Working in acrylic, watercolor, pen/ink, photography, and other media, JD (as she signs her artwork) creates imaginative landscapes, colorful florals, expressive faces/figures, and more with the purpose of creating “to heal myself and others.
