Ibrahim Khazzaka

Ibrahim is a Lebanese transnational artist who forms sculptures and installations with vivid colors to invite contemplation on notions of affection, sensuality, and belonging.  After a career in psychology and education in Lebanon, Dubai, and Los Angeles, he moved to NYC in 2018, where he began dedicating his time to developing his studio practice. He earned his Master in Fine Arts from SUNY New Paltz in 2023. He teaches Design and "Exploring Art & Visual Culture" at Pima Community College and calls Tucson, AZ home. ​ "I believe that innovation thrives at the border of culture and that risking my comfort is necessary for my creative process. That's why I bring together different notions of design, cultural disintegration, and reintegration. social and interfaith dialogues, place-making, psychology of perception, material research, and my diverse cultural landscape.​"
