Gori

A GORRRIFIC EXPERIENCE.. Gori Bautista, an artist, was born in Valenzuela, Philippines. His art journey began on sketching comic books with his own story and various characters at the age of 6 which was inspired by anime that was a huge hit in the Philippines back in the ‘90s. ​ His love for art continued to progress when he started doing street graffiti and slapping stickers under the name of “GORI” at the age of 20. Graffiti art became his propulsion for creating large artworks. His love for creating large, strong and expressive artwork can be seen to his favorite animal to paint ..the Gorilla. ​ He later then translated his graffiti artwork to acrylic painting in the canvases. He later participated in numerous group art exhibits in Manila. In January 2017, his 2nd solo art exhibit in the Philippines was a sold-out success and then next month after he moved from the Philippines to United States for good and now resides in Mesa, Arizona. ​ In 2020, he became a full-time artist and focused on making collectible designer toys. Hence, the birth of KONGU, GORIO, GREGOR and BOOGIE. He’s had numerous of collaborations with various amazing toy artists both local and international. His collectible toys and collabs have been seen in many galleries around the US.
