Erika Elizabeth Moreno

Erika Elizabeth Moreno (b. Nayarit, Mexico) is a Tucson-based fine artist whose work serves as a vibrant bridge between traditional oil painting techniques and contemporary Southwestern expression. Since earning her BFA from the University of Arizona in 2024, Erika has dedicated her practice to capturing the rhythmic vitality of the Sonoran Desert.

Her "Fauna of Love" series reimagines native wildlife and desert landscapes through a stylized, almost fluid lens—a style born from the shimmering intensity of the Arizona heat. Erika’s work has been featured in numerous regional exhibitions and recognized by national organizations, including the Alzheimer’s Association and the 2025 exhibition at the Tucson International Airport. Working from her studio in Tucson, Erika continues to explore themes of protection, connection, and the "melting" beauty of the natural world, elevating desert subjects with a modern, folk-inspired reverence.
