David Porter

David Porter is an abstract metal artist . A native of Glendale, Arizona and self-taught sculptor, David creates dynamic works using primarily recycled steel. By transforming discarded metal into bold, modern forms, he gives new life to industrial materials, exploring themes of renewal and transformation. His sculptures often highlight the raw beauty of steel while pushing the boundaries of balance, texture, and structure. David’s work has been exhibited at the Shemer Art Center and featured in several Arizona State Fairs. His pieces are known for their presence and ingenuity, drawing attention for their craftsmanship and conceptual depth. He continues to experiment with scale and sound in his current project—a five-foot-tall steel “rainstick” that blends sculpture with interactive experience.
