Daniel Friedman

Daniel Friedman lives and works in Phoenix Arizona. Since November 2014 he has been concentrating exclusively on his own artwork. He joined the Five15Arts @ Chartreuse collective in late 2016 providing him with regular opportunities to exhibit his paintings, photographs and prints and connect with a community of artists.

His artwork ranges from abstract paintings often including an American flag motif, to highly detailed black and white photographs to relief and gravure prints and lately painting on inkjet prints.

Until November 2014 he worked, in reverse chronological order as: a photojournalist (magazine), writer, private tutor, sculptor, elementary and middle school teacher, commercial photographer and photojournalist (daily newspaper).

He earned a Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Art from Oberlin College in 1979.
