Cathy Stark

Growing up in New York, Cathy Stark was exposed to a world of endless possibilities. She received her BFA from the Design School at the University of Bridgeport. Her love of design led her to study art at The Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, Italy. There the intersection of antiquity and contemporary art helped feed her fascination with texture, color and their re-creation in a variety of forms.

Professionally, Cathy has brought all of this together in the fields of fabric design, graphic design, teaching art and ultimately interior design. Creating art has always been part of her life.

Cathy resides in Phoenix, Arizona and is drawn to it’s contrasts - from city to the desert. These influences are the palette with which she creates her art, a personal expression full of contrast in color, texture and medium. Focusing on acrylic and mixed media is her current passion in her journey as an artist.
