Investigations into contemporary issues.

About the artist
Bob Booker
Booker was trained in ceramics, sculpture, and design. As a potter he enjoyed the element of chance in his work. That attitude continues in his multimedia work today. His work can be divided into two categories. Since 2002 Booker has been investigatingh a simple pod/lemon/pot form in his work. This ranges from early work using raw canvas, acrylic, tar, and motor oil to the most recent collage work using colored and handmade papers. In addition, Booker creates work addressing social issues in America. Investigating and commenting on issues such as: abuse, HIV/AIDS, gun control, drug use and others. Often using a shadow box format which allows him to use, images, text, and objects together in a series of pieces.
