Early in her professional career, Emalisa Tejada is a newly graduated student from Arizona State University, having gained a Bachelor of Art specified in animation. During her studies, she continued to explore more mediums than digital, such as creating a temporary mural painting for Old Town…Early in her professional career, Emalisa Tejada is a newly graduated student from Arizona State University, having gained a Bachelor of Art specified in animation. During her studies, she continued to explore more mediums than digital, such as creating a temporary mural painting for Old Town Scottsdale's Tinsel Trail competition. Based in Glendale, Arizona, Emalisa loves all of Arizona and seeks to find community among the entire state. Most of her art focuses on people and family history, as she finds the complexities of human emotion, personal history, and relationships to drive her creative expression. Having been an animation student, she enjoys trying new styles often and switches between traditional styles and mediums, and digital stylizations. Currently, her focuses are in completing her illustrative work for Michael Dow's Nurse Florence series, and making more art to add to her portfolio.
