Cheri Abel

Cheri Abel is a self-taught digital photographer who works and resides in Tempe, Arizona. She began her adventure in art with black and white photography and taking family photos. Recently she has waded into the world of professional art. The close-up photo is her passion, zooming in to reveal bizarre shapes, vibrant color, interesting textures, and patterns. Anything and everything is a potential photograph, from a small bug, to cascading water, an undulating reflection or shadow, even a closeup of a cliff wall. Whatever the subject her goal is to reveal a world that can be beautiful and unique or wild, bizarre, and chaotic. Cheri has shown 5 pieces in the Portland on The Park exhibitions. One piece was chosen for their permanent collection. Two more pieces are currently on display in the FOUND:RE Hotels’ ‘Sleeping With The Artist’ Exhibition.
