Others times the…With a BFA in Photography Linda has spent many decades taking care of commercial clientele, while still being committed to her own personal projects. Sometimes the lines between commercial and fine art have been very thin, such as when she has worked on public art installations. Others times the line have been VERY thick…including when clients actually say they do not need art! She loves it all. Although most of her commercial work has involved photographing people, there were many years where she shot gardens and hardscapes for Home and Garden Magazines and landscape architects. She loved the exposure it gave her to many gardeners and approaches to how people created their own private spaces and garden sanctuaries. At the time, she did not have the space to create for herself it inspired her! But change happens, and for the past several years, she has been focusing her attention on her series “Cross Pollination”. Here her love for gardening, her artistic expression in paintings/mixed media, studio photography, and computer magic are used to express her inner dialogue about the world around her and her insights on life and lessons learned. She started an IG account, DirttoDelicious, originally from her desire to share images, recipes and insights on her journey through painful life situations and lessons learned to a healthy body, mind and spirit. She found it evolved to more a showcase of how she takes what she grows ( or what volunteers to grow) on her and her husband’s property, to symbolize or be “actors” for the thought or feeling she wishes to express.
