Jill Sans

I am a multidisciplinary artist based in Flagstaff, Arizona, known for my mixed media works, murals, and public art. My art often incorporates themes of environmental consciousness, spirituality, and connection to the natural world. I create using sustainable materials, including botanical inks made from foraged plants, which allow me to maintain a direct relationship with the earth. My practice often explores intricate details such as hand-stitched accents and block-printed patterns, embodying ideas of healing and tradition. My journey into art has been influenced by my studies in art, design and anthropology, as well as my experiences working with tribal jewelry and the cultures connected to them previously as a professional piercer. These varied paths led me back to drawing and painting, where my meditation practice and love for storytelling through nature infuses into my creative work.
