Armondo Williams

Growing up Armondo and his family moved frequently throughout the Southwest, he was raised in various cities in Arizona, Nevada and California. As a child and a teen to escape his world, Armondo would create other worlds of underground cities and tunnels based off his favorite comic book and movies. Also, as a teen, he started to get into skateboarding and punk music. Comic books and the skateboarding culture are elements he incorporates in his art today. Armondo’s path in the art would eventually lead him to graffiti, this is where he learned color combination, balance and shapes that molded his art you see today. As a self-taught artist his technique has a rough quality which is apparent in his line work, shading and color transitions. He uses this raw rough method to represent many of his life lessons, good or bad, as the beauty is in the journey. Armondo’s journey continues and is still developing and changing in theme and textures. Armondo uses his art to tell a story, one that is always true to his foundation, much like the bricks that build a strong wall.
