Christopher Gallagher

Christopher Gallagher, 30, grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and currently resides in Downtown Phoenix. He is a husband, an Active Duty service member, a son, and a brother. Chris began creating art at a young age and, since then, has branded numerous projects using a variety of mediums to highlight mental health stigmas, urban exploration, imagination, and curiosity. Chris met his best friend Nick in March of 2017 shortly after moving from Alaska to Texas. Nick and Chris bonded over similar life experiences and their passion for creative expression. Starting in 2018, they spent the next three years driving around the country exploring forgotten buildings and bringing them back to life in the form of photographs. Chris founded the “AstroBots” project with the help of Nick in August 2021 as an evolution of his photographic journey and with a goal to use his work to generate resources for causes relevant to his growing community. After generating over $1,000 in charitable donations through digital art sales, AstroBots has shifted to producing art using a variety of mediums including acrylic painting, 3D modeling/rendering, woodworking, sculpting, and digital art. His work is deeply rooted in dark, underlying emotions but serves to project light and positivity into the lives of others. “Art has proven to me that it’s okay not to be okay, so long as you continue to “be.” At its core, the language of expression and true human emotion is a universal one, connecting the hearts and minds of people throughout the entire world. The AstroBots has become my passion project – an opportunity for me to express myself creatively, but also to use that creativity to generate positive impacts on our Community.”
