About the artist
Loretta Tedeschi-Cuoco
My career in New York City’s Fashion Industry spanned over thirty years. As a Fashion Illustrator/Designer, I produced artwork for many prestigious clients – from Polo Ralph Lauren to NIKE – while simultaneously teaching those same skills to students at Parsons School of Design on their New York and Paris campuses. Upon our relocation to Arizona in 2016, I taught Fashion Illustration at Arizona State University and Fashion Design Workshops for Youth at the Mesa Arts Center. During lockdown, I led virtual drawing classes that reached a global audience from my own studio. I’ve also led workshops at the Phoenix Art Museum, the New School for the Arts and Academics in Tempe and impromtu figure drawing sessions at the School of Architecture at Taliesin West in Scottsdale during my artist residency. In 2018, I began working as a Live Event Sketch artist at luxury retail boutiques – such as Ferragamo, Vuitton and Dior – at Fashion Shows and at private events. Concurrently, I’ve been experimenting with various materials when developing my portfolio of fine art pieces. My ongoing transition from creating commercial art to having my fine art exhibited and purchased by patrons of the arts has been a fulfilling “next chapter” in my artistic journey. Recently, master painter Agustin Vargas approached me to collaborate with him to create a new body of work. The fruit of our labors has produced some exciting new pieces. I can’t wait to share them with you!
